That if you are travelling in the European Union, then you can get a free European Health Insurance Card it gives the holder rights to healthcare that becomes necessary during a temporary visit to countries in the European Economic Area or Switzerland.
EHIC does NOT mean you’re insured. You will still need appropriate insurance to ensure you are fully covered for all eventualities.
