  • That if you are travelling in the European Union, then you can get a free European Health Insurance Card it gives the holder rights to healthcare that becomes necessary during a temporary visit to countries in the European Economic Area or Switzerland.
  • EHIC does NOT mean you’re insured. You will still need appropriate insurance to ensure you are fully covered for all eventualities.
