Opening hours of our drop in pre-travel clinic are:

Monday-Friday 08:45am - Noon

During peak times of the year, it is occasionally necessary to close the drop in clinic before 12 noon, if demand for the service is very high, so please ensure you arrive at the drop in early.

Appointments are available afternoons, evenings and Saturday mornings.

Due to the high demand for our appointments, Well Travelled Clinics operates a cancellation policy. If you need to change or cancel your appointment please ring before 3pm the day before your appointment to let us know.  This gives us the chance to refill the appointment.

You must contact the clinic during our opening hours and speak to someone in order to cancel/re-arrange. Please do not leave a telephone/email message at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine as this is not classed as informing Well Travelled Clinics and a cancellation fee would be charged.

Should you fail to attend for your appointment or you cancel your appointment later than 3pm the day before, then you will be charged a £20 cancellation fee per person.  Because of our cancellation policy we will ask you for your address when you book the appointment to send the invoice out.

Directions to the Liverpool Clinic

Train - Liverpool Lime Street Inter-City station is a 10 minute walk from the clinic. Go out of the main entrance/exit onto Lime Street, turn right and keep walking; turn right again after the Liverpool Empire Theatre into London Road. Stay on the right hand side and keep walking, you will pass a T.J Hughes Store on your left, keep walking a little further up the road until you reach our new big glass building on the corner of Pembroke Place and Great Newton Street. The travel clinic is just opposite across the road, on the corner.

By Coach - The National Express coachThe coach station is located in Norton Street, Liverpool City Centre. Walk out onto Norton Street and turn right walking uphill towards the traffic lights and turn left onto London Road. Cross over London Road so you are on the opposite side of the road to the T.J Hughes Store. Keep walking a little further up the road until you reach our new big glass building on the corner of Pembroke Place and Great Newton Street. By Car - Follow signs for Royal Liverpool University Hospital, city centre. The School is in Pembroke Place off of Daulby Street which runs along the side of the Royal Liverpool University Hospital. There may be parking available at the Q-Park located almost opposite the Royal Liverpool University Hospital, in Prescot Street.

Visitor car parking is currently charged at the following rates, or as displayed in the car parks. Payment is made on foot at the payment machines located in each visitor car park.

Peak (Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 17:29)

0 - 1 hr: £1.00

1 - 2 hrs: £2.00

2 - 3 hrs: £3.00

3 - 4 hrs: £4.00

Over 4 hrs: £5.00 (This fee buys up to 17:30, evening rates apply after)

Off-peak rates apply for entries made after 17:29.

Off-peak (Monday to Friday 17:30 - 07:29 next day)

0 - 1 hr: £1.00

1 - 3 hrs: £2.00

Over 3 hrs: £3.00 (This fee buys to 07:30, next day rates apply after)

Peak rates apply for entries made after 07:29.

Off-peak rates apply for entries made after 17:29 on Friday until 07:30 Saturday. Weekend rates apply after.

Weekends (Saturday to Sunday, 00:00 - 23:59)

0 - 1 hr: £1.00

1 - 3 hrs: £2.00

Over 3 hrs: £3.00

Please note that some visitor car parks only operate off-peak or at weekends. These car parks are clearly marked. Entry into these car parks outside of these times will not be permitted.
