Do you know your current HIV status? Are you concerned that you have put yourself at risk of contracting HIV?

 It is estimated that a quarter of people living with HIV in the UK do not know they are infected. 

Everyone should consider if they need an HIV test. Knowing you HIV status helps protect your health and your partners health and getting HIV tested these days is simple and quick.

Well Travelled Clinic at Liverpool will be offering a free, confidential, rapid HIV testing with results available after a 20 minute wait. Tests will be available on the following day:

(Starting on Thursday 28th January)

Thursdays between 9am and 12pm. No appointment necessary.

Travelling-to-the-Shanghai-Expo-over-the-summer

If you or your company are travelling to the Shanghai Expo over the next six months come and see us for travel health advice and vaccinations before you go.

Vaccinations are recommended based on an individual risk assessment with each individual travelling to the Expo.  Hepatitis A and combined Diphtheria Polio and Tetanus (DPT) vaccine would be routinely recommended to all travellers to Shanghai. 

There is a small risk of Japanese Encephalitis (JE) in China, and for staff who are staying for longer than a month or travelling backwards and forwards during the year, it may be worth also considering JE vaccine. 

We are able to vaccinate groups of staff and can also arrange to give a group talk to all staff travelling to the Expo, to give advice about staying healthy abroad, including: care with food and water hygiene, insect bite avoidance, prevention of deep vein thrombosis on long haul flights and personal safety.

School-trips-or-groups-of-travellers

If you are a school, college or group of travellers travelling as a group to an overseas destination our Travel Cinic can ensure your group are ready to travel. You can contact us for health advice and travel information about trips to Europe as well as tropical destinations.

We can arrange to visit your school, college or place of work etc. and give a talk to the group who are travelling (and/or their parents if appropriate) on the vaccination requirements of specific destinations and give general advice on precautions to take regarding food, water, insect bites and personal safety. 

For groups of ten or more we can offer discounts on vaccines and malaria tablets. Please see our students travellers page for further information.

When you book an appointment you will be asked for credit/debit card details. Should you fail to attend for your appointment or you cancel your appointment less than 24 hours before, then you will be charged a £20 cancellation fee per person.
