Introduction to Travel Health

This annual course is aimed at Nurses, Doctors and Allied Health Professionals with an interest in travel health who wish to develop their knowledge and skills in carrying out travel health risk assessments and how to provide travel health advice. The course covers the fundamentals of travel health and highlights any advances in the field of travel medicine.  The course is delivered through a mixture of lectures by experienced travel health professionals and also through interactive group work, bringing theory to practice by looking at different travel health scenarios.

The course runs each year with the next taking place Monday 5th to Wednesday 7th February 2018. Course participants can choose to attend individual days of the course.

This course is primarily a 'paperless' course. This allows us to keep costs to a minimum and is in line with LSTM's commitment to the principles of education for sustainable development. You are encouraged to bring a laptop computer or a tablet with a good battery life on which to view teaching resources and annotate handouts if you wish - our lecture theatre is equipped with plugs for recharging.

Catering arrangements: Lunch is not included in the course price, however refreshments will be provided throughout the day and there are food outlets within a 5 minute walk.
